MOSCOW: The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), not NATO, must oversee the safety standards of the Ukrainian nuclear power plants, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin said on Monday.
“It looks like NATO is trying to put its finger in every pie. Is not the oversight of the Ukrainian nuclear power plants’ safety standards the exclusive responsibility of the IAEA?” Rogozin said in his blog.

The Israeli government has decided to postpone moving its ministerial offices to Jerusalem for five additional years; Israel’s Haaretz newspaper reported.
The newspaper pointed out that the government took the decision during its weekly cabinet meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who endorsed the decision.
It is not much fun to be in Kiev these days. The revolutionary excitement is over, and hopes for new faces, the end of corruption and economic improvement have withered. The Maidan street revolt and the subsequent coup just reshuffled the same marked deck of cards, forever rotating in power.

MOSCOW: The defense minister of Finland, Carl Haglund, recently reiterated, and evidently gave more concrete form to, the call by Atlanticists in his country and neighboring Sweden for the accession of both Scandinavian countries into the North Atlantic Treaty Organization.
We never asked Alan Grayson how he feels about a Hillary Clinton presidency-- although he's getting a lot of pressure to run in the primary against her. But we do know how the Republican Party feels about her perspective run: they are terrified. They know she can beat any of their horribly flawed candidates-- think Ted Cruz, Chris Christie, Jeb Bush and Mike Huckabee-- in a landslide the scope of which is likely to jeopardize the political careers of dozens of senators, congressmembers and local Republican officials.

Last night I took old friend, Wisconsin Democratic Senate Leader Chris Larson, for dinner at the best vegan restaurant in the area, Crossroads. The Ukrainian army shelled the eastern city of Kramatorsk on Sunday as fierce clashes erupted between Kiev’s military and self-defense forces who stopped the APC convoy from entering the city, local activists said.
