Breaking the Mask Psychosis

Psychosis is a condition that affects the way your brain processes information. It causes you to lose touch with reality. You might see, hear, or believe things that aren't real, true or accurate. Spain's Strict Mask Policy- results in increased Covid cases

Spain has a reputation for having some of the strictest policies on masks in Europe, with the public even encouraged to wear face-coverings outside. Yet today, Spain’s Health Ministry announced that the number of coronavirus cases has continued to rise, with 9,848 cases counted over the past two days – prompting those who live in Spain to question, yet again, the efficacy of mask-wearing regulations.

For a few weeks after lockdown ended, buses and trains were running at half capacity and you needed to wear a mask, raising the question of which safety measure was considered insufficiently protective in itself, and why. Social distancing has now been abolished on public transport but mask wearing has not. But why were masks compulsory when social distancing was also in place?

According to the most risible rule of all, you can now be fined for not wearing a face mask when you’re walking down the street, regardless of how many other people are around or how close they are to you.

It’s hard to think of a more succinct or enthusiastic endorsement of Spain’s oppressive mask culture. Because the rules governing their usage are so inconsistent, and their efficacy far from obvious, the only decent reason to wear them now is to avoid a hefty fine by the over-empowered police. People who exercise a little situational logic and take their safety gear off on a street when there’s no one around won’t just feel like they’re breaking the law, they will be breaking the law. The threat of punishment, rather than a last-resort reinforcement measure, has become the sole good reason for wearing a mask in Spain. This is, without doubt, the weirdest and most lamentable aspect of the ‘new normal’ in which we live.

The "new normal" is medical martial law, totalitarian in nature.

 Real Clear Science?

But there has been much debate among scientists over the effectiveness of face masks on reducing the spread of COVID-19. A report from a multidisciplinary group convened by the Royal Society has come out in favour of the public wearing face masks. These documents, which have not been peer reviewed, argue that face coverings can contribute to reducing the transmission of COVID-19 if widely used in situations where physical distancing is not possible. One relatively small clinical study also showed that infected children who wore masks did not pass on the virus to family contacts.

Was it the mask wearing? Or was it, as has been documented, infected children aren't virus spreaders? Making mask wearing efficacy of this small clinical study, questionable. To say the least.

Real Clear Science con't...

Many scientists therefore disagree with the Royal Society report, requesting more evidence on the efficacy of masks. Ideally, we need randomised controlled trials involving many people from an entire population to trace how masks affect infection numbers.

Masks as breeders of bacteria- That you inhale. Yummy.

Over the last few months, Symeonidis has seen an uptick in patients with mask-related skin issues, including folliculitis, inflamed pimples, pain and itching, and even the odd allergic reaction – all of which fall under the maskne umbrella. “When you’re wearing a mask for long periods of time, you’re raising the temperature of your skin, your pores sweat more than usual, and bacteria increase.

You then breathe in that bacteria -as you inhale deeply under your maskLung Infections... A lung infection can be caused by a virus, bacteria, and sometimes even a fungus.

Stress can also contribute to the problem,” he adds. “We’ve treated a number of patients with corona-related skin conditions, many of which start with stress – or the overuse of hand sanitisers and repeated hand-washing – including alopecia, pruritus and eczema.”

It’s maskne, however, which is the most current skin issue, and Symeonidis always recommends that masks are changed regularly, and thoroughly cleaned or sprayed with an antiseptic where possible. “It’s very important,” he adds, “not to let sweat stay on your mask; what you’re aiming for here is the prevention of infection and allergic reaction.”

"not let sweat stay on your mask"- sure Paranoia will destroy ya
