A branch of the UK's National Health Service announced a new policy under which it may withdraw treatment from patients who they think are racist or sexist.

A friend reacted to my post on the Beirut Forum of a few days ago positively with respect to the political analysis. He did have a caveat. I referred to the wife of Nabil Hallak, the principal convener, as ‘beautiful,’ which he warned me would be viewed as sexist by female readers in the current atmosphere of cultural politics.
 

Wonders never cease. Never in history has fame been so stringently pulled from the jaws of failure – at least not in personal memory. Hillary Rodham Clinton continues to make news (even here) with the amazing scope of irresponsibility she displays for why she lost the 2016 election campaign.

Democrat Senator, Kirsten Gillibrand, has called for President Trump to resign over the provably false 'sexual misconduct' allegations against him. In his Tweet, Trump responded: "Lightweight Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, a total flunky for Chuck Schumer, and someone who would come to my office 'begging' for campaign contributions not so long ago (and would do anything for them), is now in the ring fighting against Trump." White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders shut down a reporter who tried to make accusations of sexism against Trump based on the phrase "would do anything".

Yesterday I was all excited that Kirsten Gillibrand had boldly endorsed progressive reformer Marie Newman against Blue Dog Dan Lipinski. It was probably the first time I've praised Gillibrand since 2006 when she was first elected to Congress-- with a little help from Blue America.
