RINSE AND REPEAT: Back in 1996, Time Magazine crowed about how a team of American “specialists” helped Boris Yeltsin get re-elected. In 2016, the US media flipped the script, now howling about how Vladimir Putin supposedly aided the Trump campaign.
“Russia helped Trump get elected!”, and “The Russians interfered in the 2016 US elections!”, and “The Russians have attacked our democracy!” etc.
If Russians are trying to affect American elections then they are going to have a rough time competing with Multinational Big Media and Big Finance who already own the US Presidential campaign cycle lock, stock and barrel.
I suppose it is necessary, considering the bleak and humorless times we live in, to immediately start by acknowledging that the headline is meant as satire, what Webster defines as a form of “ridicule to expose and criticize people’s stupidity or vices, particularly in the context of contemporary politics and other topical issues.”

Some 100,000 documents are said to expose its dodgy dealings in 68 countries, claiming to show ‘global electoral manipulation’ on an ‘industrial scale.’
