Over the weekend, the New York Times reported that billionaire class avatar Michael Bloomberg "did not rule out" spending a billion dollars of his own to defeat Trump-- even when its clear he's not going to be the nominee-- and even if Bernie or Elizabeth is the nominee.
About 3 weeks ago, independent polling firm SSRS did a survey of Texas voters for CNN. Texas isn’t a blue state but it will be part of Super Tuesday on March 3, so-- like California-- will play an outsized role in determining who the Democratic nominee will be. The horse race question elicited these results:
Trump may or may not be a billionaire. He claims he is and he certainly will be after he leaves office. But no one knows for sure because he hides his assets and transactions, most of which are unethical-- at best-- and criminal for the most part. But we’ll count him as a billionaire for the sake of this post. He certainly loudly and insistently claims he is.
Disgusting and widely loathed Republican billionaire Michael Bloomberg-- currently pretending to be a Democrat in his Trump-like quest to buy the White House-- is running for president for several reasons. Here in California, we don't usually get inundated with campaign ads, at least not the way Iowa and New Hampshire-- and more recently, Nevada and South Carolina, do. California has always been too late in the campaign season. And California is, by far, the country's most expensive media market. But that all changed. California is a SuperTuesday state now and early voting will already be in full swing by the time tiny Iowa caucuses.

The 77-year-old former Republican has decided that he is the perfect candidate to prevent the president from achieving a second term. Bloomberg has a long history of support for conservative positions, including endorsing George W. Bush’s War on Terror and defending Israel’s 2014 assault on Gaza.
