United Airlines Insists “Contract of Carriage” Allows Them to Forcefully Drag Passengers Off Planes (Updated)

Despite national outcry over a video showing aviation cops dragging a man off a plane at Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport, United Airlines insist they had every right to have the man removed, even if he had purchased his ticket with the expectation he would be able to fly to his destination without being violently manhandled.
After all, it’s all in the fine print.

But almost causing the woman’s death wasn’t enough for Mississippi County Sheriff Cory Hutcheson.
After 77-year-old Bonnie Woods was taken to the hospital, where it was determined she suffered a heart attack, Sheriff Hutcheson filed a sworn affidavit with the county prosecutor seeking kidnapping assault charges against Woods, but multiple witnesses said that never took place.

Louisiana Town Clerk Calls Cops on PINAC Reporter Making Public Records Request

It may sound crazy to someone who doesn’t regularly participate in the decision-making process of the government that people like me would feel the need to be informed about what government officials are doing in our name and at our expense.
Those of us who actively participate in the process are generally labeled by public officials and their supporters as being disruptive; unruly troublemakers hell bent on tearing the community apart. It’s a common attitude that people like myself face and it scares away many people who may be interested in what the government is doing.

A Florida sheriff violated PINAC reporter Jeff Gray’s right to record public officials in a public setting during his silent protest at the department’s annual awards banquet, which was held at the tax-funded St. Johns Convention Center in St. Augustine last month.
But St. Johns County Sheriff David Shoar insisted it was “private property.”
“You go outside. And hold your sign,” Shoar told Gray, threatening him with arrest. “But you’re not going to stand in here and hold your sign. This is our party. This is our special night.”

New York Cops Profile Man for Looking Around Suspiciously in Front of his House

A New York cop racially profiled a man, approaching the front door of his house, insisting the man identify himself because he “looked back” at the officer as he drove past his house.
Rochester cop Jonathan Laureano then began demaning Nishean Napier provide him with identification after Napier walked outside to move his mother’s car to the other side of the street so she wouldn’t get a ticket.
As Napier walked outside to move the car while in the middle of making an Instagram post, Laureano crept down his street in a police cruiser.

Georgia deputies lied to a family about the cause of their teenage son’s death, recently released dash cam reveals.
“I was originally told that he hit a tree at 80 mph,” Greg Dyksma told the ledger-enquirer regarding his son who was killed at the hands of Harris County sheriff deputies.
“Then the story changed to he hit a cop car at 10 mph. Then it changed to they pushed him off the road. So I heard all these stories, but nothing’s been confirmed.”
