Pelosi Is Wrong About Impeachment

Al Green, wearing Grayson's tieEven deranged Trump ex-fan girl Ann Coulter refers to him as a "shallow, narcissistic conman." Shallow and narcissistic aren't impeachable. Conman probably is. But Pelosi says he's not worth the trouble-- and the divisiveness-- an impeachment would stir up. One of the first Democrats to introduce an impeachment resolution was Texas Democrat Al Green. He's listened to Pelosi's arguments-- and isn't persuaded.

Will Trump Shut Down The Government Again-- Or Rescue Himself By Stealing Money From California And Puerto Rico?

UPDATE: Trump caves again-- won't shut down the government. Earlier this morning, beaten like a dog, Trump was reported by CNN to be preparing to sign the bill to keep the government open without any money for his foolish vanity-wall. The deal falls far short of all his demands but he's knows he's been beaten and has no choice, despite the rantings and ravings of Ann Coulter.

How Much Will The Trump-Putin Arms Race Cost American (And Russian) Taxpayers?

I was stuck with a monster. Once her whole retinue-- one by one-- abandoned her backstage before a speech and I was the only left to deal with her and it was excruciating. Once at a White House state banquet she was like the big downer in the otherwise festive event, bad vibing everyone.

Yes, A Wealth Tax Is Constitutional-- A Elizabeth Warren's Plan Is Solid

Last week, even before Elizabeth Warren announced her wealth tax plan, I went back and forth with Alan Grayson about the constitutionality of the whole concept of a wealth tax. The original wealth tax post we ran about it on Thursday left out the constitutionality piece from the Institute on Taxation and Economic Policy report, the assertion that it would be constitutional.

Impeachment Time Is Coming

Pelosi thinks it's "bad politics" to impeach Trump. (It's no less her duty than it was Paul Ryan's-- maybe more so.) She may be wrong... and her hand may be forced. A new poll, released this morning by the Associated Press, confirms that most Americans believe that Trump has obstructed the investigation by Robert Mueller into Russian interference in the 2016 election that put Trump into the White House.
