Florida has 29 electoral votes, same as New York. The only states with more are California (55) and Texas (38). There really is no path to reelection for Trump that doesn’t include Florida. Winning Florida doesn’t guarantee him a 2020 victory but losing Florida guarantees him a 2020 loss. And Florida has been the swingiest of swing states in presidential elections in recent years.
"Do you want to see the president of the United States in jail?" That's the question Wolf Blitzer asked Congressman Jim Himes (D-CT). Himes didn't answer by disputing that Trump isn't a legitimate president who wasn't elected but was placed in the Oval Office by a hostile power.
This morning, Mitt Romney told Jake Tapper on CNN that he doesn't feel the Senate is ready to remove Trump but that Justin Amash was courageous when he called for Trump's impeachment. "I respect him. I think it’s a courageous statement. But I believe that to make a case for obstruction of justice, you just don’t have the elements that are evidenced in this document... The American people just aren’t there. And I think those who are considering impeachment also have to look at the jury, which would be the Senate.
This morning, NPR reporter Tim Zak noted that on the same day Russian spy/saboteur Maria Butina, who has admitted to infiltrating the NRA on behalf of the Kremlin, was sentenced to 18 months in prison, Señor Trumpanzee, on whose behalf the Kremlin sent Butina to work on the NRA, spoke at the NRA convention in Indianapolis.That the Butina/NRA case is redacted from the Mueller report indicates that the evidence she provided the FBI-- so that her sentence was 18 months rather than 18 years-- is part of the on-going investigation into the NRA.
