Elon Musk: US Lockdown Measures Are ‘Fascist’ – Calls to Restore Constitutional Rights

Yesterday during his company’s quarterly shareholder meeting, Tesla CEO Elon Musk hit-out against government COVID-19 ‘shelter-in-place’ rules as “fascist,” and noted that state guidelines were being used to “forcibly imprisoning people in their homes against all their constitutional rights.”
“To say that they cannot leave their house and they’ll be arrested if they do? This is fascist,” said Musk said. “This is not democratic, this is not freedom. Give people back their goddamn freedom.”
“I think the people are going to be very angry about this and are very angry,” he added, while announcing his company’s $16 million quarterly profit.
“What the fuck,” exclaimed Musk, who continued to rail against draconian ‘lockdown’ orders which he believes are “breaking people’s freedoms in ways that are horrible and wrong, and not why people came to America or built this country.”
“It will cause great harm not just to Tesla, but to many companies. And while Tesla will weather the storm, there are many small companies that will not.”
Musk also posted a series of provocative tweets calling to “FREE AMERICA NOW” which gained massive traction online.

“Yes, reopen with care & appropriate protection, but don’t put everyone under de facto house arrest,” tweeted Musk late Wednesday.

Meanwhile, many US officials including Anthony Fauci, Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), backed by tech billionaire Microsoft founder Bill Gates, are still telling Americans to stay at home and maintain ‘social distancing’ supposedly to prevent a ‘second wave of the virus.’
However, some experts are now stating that stoking fears of a “second peak” may be unwarranted. According to renowned microbiologist Professor Hugh Pennington, such a devastating second wave of coronavirus cases this year is “very unlikely.”
When asked whether a second wave was inevitable, Prof Pennington said, “No, I’m not sure where this ‘second peak’ idea comes from.
“Except, well, I know where it comes from, it comes from flu. Because when we have a flu pandemic we always get a second peak, and sometimes we get a third peak.” He added, “Now, why we should get one with this virus, I don’t quite understand.”
According to the World-O-Meter open source public data website, the United States is the world leader in both recorded COVID-19 cases and fatalities, with 1,064,572 infections and 61,669 deaths.
