NYPD Cop Charged for Molesting Girl Over Three Year Period, Released Without Bail on Same Day

An New York City police officer was arrested Wednesday after being accused of having sexual relations with a 10-year-old girl.
Jacob Sabbagh, 33, is accused of having sex with the daughter of a family friend over three years, starting when the girl was ten years old, ending when she was 13, not only having sex with her, but touching her breasts, buttocks and vagina over that three year period.
The victim came forth when she was 16 in 2011 but it took “a few years” for the case to finally reach the Brooklyn District Attorney’s desk, NYPD officials told DNA Info.
Sabbagh was arraigned the same day he was arrested, pleading not guilty before he was released without bail, even though he is facing serious felony charges of second-degree sexual abuse, second-degree course of sexual conduct against a child and endangering the welfare of a child.
It appears he avoided the usual process of getting booked into jail because there is no sign of a booking photo nor no mention of him getting transported to jail.
Instead, it appears as if he was taken directly to his arraignment.
According to the New York Times:

The officer, Jacob Sabbagh, 33, was suspended without pay and stripped of his gun and badge after surrendering on Wednesday to officers from the Police Department’s Internal Affairs Bureau, the authorities said.
He is the third city police officer this year to face charges of victimizing a teenager.
In August, Joel Doseau, a sergeant, was arrested in Brooklyn on charges that he had sex with an underage girl he had met online in 2007, the authorities said.
Fifteen days later, Sergeant Doseau killed himself at his home in Canarsie, Brooklyn, the police said.
In March, Vladimir Sosa, 38, an officer who joined the force in 2007, was arrested in the Bronx on third-degree rape and other charges in connection with at least three encounters with a girl last year, while she was 16, according to a criminal complaint.

Sabbagh has been a law enforcement official for nearly six years and last year was reassigned to building maintenance duty.
The NYPD made headlines recently in October again after an officer body slammed and violently peppered spray a skateboarder for ignoring him.
This time, the suspect was a 22-year-old skateboarder named Yibin Mu, who was placed in a headlock and body slammed – then pepper sprayed – for skateboarding inside Columbus Circle, a traffic circle near Central Park in Manhattan.
NYPD said they had to arrest Mu Sunday because it is illegal to skateboard inside the circle, according to Gothamist. They even have signs posted.
However, NYPD claims, when officer Gill asked Mu to sit-down so he could write him a summons, the skateboarder ignored him, which is when the cop decided to arrest him.
And that was when the scrawny skateboarder started fighting with the armed officer, according to a NYPD spokesman.
Gill already has Mu in a headlock, spinning him around, when the video begins, so we are unable to see what took place beforehand.
But once the cop has Yu facedown while straddling his body, he reaches around and pepper sprays the man’s face, even though Yu is already under control and is not resisting.
“What are you doing?” asks Yu. “Did I do something wrong? What did I do wrong?”
Meanwhile, a witness can be heard saying, “here we go again.”
Yu was charged with resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, failure to comply with a posted sign and defacing park property.
