Jon Stewart tonight wrung some comedy out of Benjamin Netanyahu‘s speech to Congress, mocking it as a “Festival of Slights” to President Obama.
Stewart mocked some of the media coverage of the speech, as well as President Obama for swearing it’s all good, though he did note if Democrats tried the same under George W. Bush, “Republicans would have demanded the inviters be arrested for sedition and treason!”
But it was the reception Netanyahu got in Congress that Stewart was most amused by. He called it “the State of the Union address Republicans wanted” and concluded, “The in-chamber response to this speech was by far the longest blowjob a Jewish man has ever received.”
