The evidence being carted away. The most high profile Supreme Court justice of the past quarter century is found dead, and the cause of death is determined by a Justice of the Peace without seeing the body?! Let me repeat – Without seeing the body! And no autopsy was performed. The deaths of transients found in a dumpster behind a liquor store are investigated more thoroughly than this. And Scalia was arguably one of the most powerful individuals in the nation, the conservative SCOTUS polestar. Hello! Nothing to see here, kids.

Fact. Iowa entrance polls gave Bernie Sanders 91 percent support of people under 30. For New Hampshire it was 80%. Not bad for a 74 year-old white Jewish socialist from Brooklyn. This blows away and the lid off of those hoary theories that suggest millennial attraction applies only to the hip and inadvertent parvenu.

The imponderable. Fellow lover of sapience and reasonable liberty, I provide this to you but warn you that this is problematic. The state of our country, the criminal justice system and our political matrix are decrepit. These are very troubling times with little hope for improvement. You’re welcome.

He’s guilty! Of being the most incompetent, inept, bungling murderer in the history and annals of American crime. Or the victim of one of the greatest and most intricate conspiracies in the history of setups and frames. His main defense is “How could anyone be that obvious?” And the travesty of Brendan Dassey is incomprehensible. Truly. But warning, this is anything but open and shut. This is a case that is most vexing and troubling on a variety of levels and dimensions.

This country is going right to hell. And if there’s a party to blame it’s the electorate, the citizens. The disentangled and disengaged. Untethered and unbelievable. The clueless, vapid, insipid and various. More interested in bogus viral videos of rats pulling pizza slices down subway steps or the interminable stories about Powerball dreamers and incongruous ideations. Listen. You’re welcome.
