(ANTIMEDIA) An encounter Wednesday evening between an 8th grader at Linden-McKinley STEM Academy and a police officer in East Columbus, Ohio, turned deadly. According to official police reports, the teen’s death might not have been justified.

(TFC Op-Ed) Washington, DC – The airwaves are full of pundits screaming about violence against police officers. These are the same pundits that disregarded the warnings of experts in the field of insurgency when the Ferguson riots broke out and chose to dismiss the rioters as “thugs.” They continued to cheerlead for more police militarization even after the first officers were shot in targeted killings.

A video has emerged, showing the circumstances of the most recent Chicago police killing.
This past Monday night, a new victim emerged, and so did a new video showing that 16-year old Pierre Loury died on the other side of the fence from the police foot pursuit which led to his demise.
Chicago police have shot five citizens and killed three already this year.
Generally speaking, police in America aren’t allowed to even shoot a known felon fleeing, unless it’s clear that he presents an immediate danger to the officer’s safety or the community.

A New York DA just recommended zero jail time for convicted NYPD cop Peter Liang, who fatally shot a man, and texted his union rep as the victim died rather than render assistance.
Liang shot and killed Akai Gurley in the stairwell of a housing project while on “vertical patrol” in 2014 and was later convicted of manslaughter and official misconduct.
Liang faced  15 years in prison.

A troubling tale that serves as a warning to us all.

UPDATE II: Local news station WUSA interviewed the hearing impaired woman, LaToya Plummer whose service dog Cleo – a bully-mix – was shot by a DC Metro cop who was off-duty. According to that interview, the DC officer didn’t identify herself as off-duty law enforcement.
