The Women's March Is Crucially Important, And... And But...
I don't go in for identity politics at all. Voting for someone because they were born a woman, gay, of any particular religion, Asian or black, for example, is not my cup pf tea. Nor is voting for someone who is a veteran, a scientist, a doctor or part of any age group. Take women. Women make up 51% of the population but just 22% of the Senate and 19% of the House. That's outrageous.
Much "Consensual" Sex is Non-Consensual — #MeToo and the Muddy Middle Ground of Social Communication
Comedian Aziz Ansari on women who don't go out with nice geeky guys like him. Listen to this brief excerpt, then read below what this "nice geeky guy" is really like on a date.
Is There A Way Back For Men Who Made Women Uncomfortable?
Pennsylvania State Senator Daylin Leach is an old friend. “The Liberal Lion” of the legislature, when he decided to run for Congress against Pat Meehan (PA-07) last year, he quickly became the front-runner in a crowded Democratic primary field. And then he got caught up in the #MeToo movement. He wasn’t accused of raping anyone or feeling up anyone or using his office inappropriaterly to pressure women to have sex with him or anything like that.
Should Kirsten Gillibrand Retire From Politics? We've Had Enough Of Opportunists And Careerists
I’ve been writing a lot about what an opportunist jerk Kirsten Gillibrand is. I’ve known her for over a decade but many people asked if what I’m saying about her, why is no one else backing up any of the stuff I’m throwing her way.
The Exploitation Of The #MeToo Movement For Money And Politics-- From Michael Cernovich And David Brock To Kirsten Gillibrand
Cernovich and Gillibrand-- exploiters gotta exploitThe minute a lifelong opportunist and careerist like Kirsten Gillibrand wrapped herself around the #MeToo Movement and decided to try to ride it to the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination, it became more than clear that the legitimate cause of brave women protesting millennia of abusive patriarchy was about to take a back seat to self-serving exploitation.
#MeToo Movement Has Been Exported-- England First
Technically, British Deputy Prime Minister Damian Green, a close ally of Theresa May's, wasn't fired; he was simply "asked" to step down, which he did. Green, 61, who was first elected to Parliament in 1997 and has served in loads of shadow cabinets and, since 2010, in a series of actual cabinet positions, has been in trouble before. In 2008 his office was raided and he was arrested for leaking classified information-- and gossip.
Track Palin Is Still Beating Up Women But The Right-Wing Media Is Too Busy Smearing Linda Sansour To Notice
Remember Track Palin? He's Sarah's oldest son. 28 now. He has a history of violence (while on meth)-- primarily towards women. Early in 2016 he beat up his girlfriend, punching her in the face and then kicking her while she was down on the floor. He brandished an AR-15 and eventually pleaded guilty to misconduct involving weapons and for possessing a weapon while "intoxicated" but was never charged with violence towards his girlfriend. But at least Al Franken has been forced out of public office.
