Obama, Pelosi, Hoyer, Reid are asking a lot of progressives who are skeptical over the rush to bomb Syria. Aside from asking them to overlook the lack of definitive proof that it was Assad who used the chemical weapons and to overlook the fact that the strategy to punish him is fatally flawed, they're also asking them to forget about their own integrity and-- in some cases, more importantly-- their own constituents' expressed desires about keeping the U.S. out of another pointless Mideast war.

You probably heard about how poor old doddering McConnell stumbled right into a right wing trap, tarring all the Kentucky teabaggers as "fringe," which, of course they are. But Republicans aren't supposed to talk that way about what's now their party's base. Local Tea Party leaders immediately blasted McConnell in a very public and very damaging way:

Predictably, over the weekend the Louisville Courier-Journal columnists were all buzzing over Kentucky's mega-high profile Senate campaign. Old, steeped in corruption and wily, Mitch McConnell, is facing a mainstream Democrat, Alison Lundergan Grimes, and, in the GOP primary, a very credible Tea Party candidate, Matt Bevin.
