Like his old pal, Joe Crowley, Luján is quite popular in DC and if it was only lobbyists and consultants and the Washingtonian elite voting, he would win.

I was happy to see that Emerson has started including Marianne Williamson in their polling. People with casual interest in the 2020 presidential primaries probably don't know she's running, thanks to a virtual blackout by most sources of election information.
Marianne Williamson is not a member of the Inside the Beltway Club, and the Democratic establishment-- including their media allies and polling firms-- have largely blacked her out and pretended her campaign doesn't exist. (That said, she will be a guest on Morning Joe tomorrow.) When some random polls do include her, she always polls ahead of the 1% crowd, even U.S. senators like Kirsten Gillibrand and Amy Klobuchar and Reps like John Delaney and Julian Castro.

The Nightline video clip above ran Monday night. It's a decent introduction to a presidential candidate for ABC News viewers. It's weird that the Democratic Party gatekeepers at MSNBC refuse to recognize Marianne Williamson as a "real" candidate. Tuesday night Rachel Maddow-- who should stick to Russian conspiracy theories (which she doers better than anyone) and leave electoral politics to people who know something that doesn't come from candidates' press releases and briefing books-- had Cory Booker on for an interview.
A few years ago, when Marianne Williamson decided to run for an open congressional seat in Los Angeles-- a seat eventually won by Ted Lieu-- I asked my neighbors if they had ever heard of her. They both broke down crying. She, they told me, had saved their lives. Neither was remotely "political," although both were aware that their lives were being impacted by bad decisions coming out of Washington.
