That the modern ethno-nationalist and anti-globalist resistance movement has a profound class character is difficult to deny. It has this character in a radically different manner than the far left in the media and the universities would have one believe. The extreme left’s overrepresentation in these institutions has provided a purposely false and distorted picture of class in America, and, specifically, class conflict in relation to nationalism.
As a young kid, my parents took me on a Caribbean Cruise on the very upper-class Holland-America Cruise Line. I noticed that every employee was from a different country. I must have seen 100 different nationalities. They had their country of origin on their name tags. It even became an advertising gimmick.
TBR was represented again by its Senior Researcher Matthew Raphael Johnson on the Daily Traditionalist, the daily radio show of Matthew Heimbach, founder of the Traditionalist Worker’s Party. After several requests from listeners to discuss this topic, Dr. Johnson and Matthew discuss the ideology of Dr. Aleksandr Dugin, a Russian thinker, author and political activist on May 17 2016. The writings and speeches of Dr. Dugin have been hugely influential in Russia, Europe and to the Traditionalist Worker Party in the United States.

The Barnes Review was represented at the meeting of the Traditionalist Workers Party in Philadelphia, PA on April 30 2016. Matthew Raphael Johnson, TBR’s Senior Researcher in Russian and European History was the featured speaker again, following several other talented party activists, including Matthew Heimbach himself. He had also been the featured speaker at the party’s Harrisburg meeting several months ago.

Matthew Raphael Johnson has returned to The Barnes Review as its Senior Researcher. He was the editor of TBR from 2000 to 2005 when he left to take a job as professor of history at Mount Saint Mary’s University.
