Federal Court Rules Cops can Shoot your Dog for Barking

A federal court ruled that cops can shoot and kill your dog if it merely barks at them, something they have been doing routinely for years now anyway.
The 6th Circuit Court of Appeals upheld the decision of a lower court last week, siding with Michigan cops who shot and killed two dogs during a drug raid after they entered the home with a battering ram, according to the Huffington Post.

GRAPHIC: Idaho Cop Murders Dog In Own Yard, Demands Cash from Owner for Remains

An Idaho cop murdered a dog in its own front yard while serving an arrest warrant on a compliant citizen after officers took advantage of a door left ajar.
The arrest warrant turned into a death warrant for the beloved family pet named Targaryan.
Now Caldwell police are threatening to charge an innocent woman with “having a vicious animal at large.”
And they sent her a $200 bill before they’ll release the remains of her deceased beloved pet dog.

Missouri Cops Caught on Camera Killing Family Dog

Missouri cops were caught on camera killing a family dog after knocking on a door of a residence and fearing for their lives when the dog came running out to greet them.
Or as they call it, “lunged” at them.
The surveillance video shows Sierra, a rescue dog, did not act any differently than many dogs do when strangers come knocking on the door; a little excited and curious, but probably not planning to do anything but sniff the cop.
Usually, all it takes is to allow the dog to sniff your hand to put it at ease, then pet it. Dogs are not very hard to win over.

He left the car idling in the summer sun, and eventually it shut off on its own.
That shut off the air conditioning.
It was 90 degrees outside.
Tragedy ensued.
An officer died in the line of duty, the perpetrator is known.

Tennessee Prison Guard Charged After Leaving Service Dog to Die in Car

A Tennessee prison guard was arrested for animal cruelty last week after leaving his service dog in the car for almost five hours with the windows rolled up and the air conditioner turned off.
Robert Strickland also left no water for Kilo, his K9 partner, as temperatures outside soared to 88 degrees, meaning that temperatures inside the vehicle reached 130 degrees – hot enough to cause hyperthermia in mammals, causing organ failure and death.
Strickland is a guard at the Hardeman County Correctional Facility, a privately owned minimum security prison outside Memphis.

Detroit Woman Sues Cops Who Killed Her Three Dogs While Looking for Weed

A Detroit woman filed a lawsuit last week after Detroit cops serving a search warrant entered her home looking for marijuana shot and killed her three passive dogs, then turned to her and said, “I should have killed you, too.”
“They went around and killed them – like a death squad,” said Chris Olson, Smith’s attorney in an interview with the New York Daily News.

Washington Cops Settle Suit for Tasering, Siccing Dog on Non-Resisting Man

The city of Tukwila in Washington agreed to settle a lawsuit for $100,000 plus attorney’s fee after officers punched a restrained man in the face and head, shocking him with taser darts and then siccing a police dog on him in what the department calls “pain compliance” – a use of force tactic they say falls “within policy.”
