Earlier this week, pro-democracy leader Jimmy Sham was attacked with hammers by unknown assailants, which left him in critical condition in the hospital. After Hong Kong Police denied protesters a the right to march through an upscale shopping district, tens of thousands of protestors took to the streets.

Councillor Graeme Campbell of the Scottish Conservatives party, says his wife’s car was doused with accelerant and torched just feet from where they slept, and if not for a passing neighbor alerting them to the growing fire, the damage could have been far worse or fatal.
