Russia charms its guests with music and football

There was a wonderful concert in Russia’s capital, on Moscow’s Red Square with international opera stars and the Mariinsky Orchestra for the opening ceremony, held on the 13th of June 2018.
Many more concerts followed in the 11 cities, where the football matches were held: Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Saransk, Kaliningrad, Volgograd, Yekaterinburg, Samara, Sochi and Rostov-on-Don. The brilliant opening ceremony on Moscow’s Red Square was a sound and light show, attended by Russian President Vladimir Putin, FIFA head Gianni Infantino and thousands of people.

FIFA proves to the British that Russia is not the enemy

The UK government is likely to have to eat a lot of crow this year. Despite all the fiery rhetoric about Russian “aggression” and secret spies deployed by Vladimir Putin all around the world, and especially in England, some British citizens came to Russia anyway. The FIFA World Cup is being played here, after all, and football is very important for these people.
As the result of this, the people from one of the most stalwart Western powers are getting a completely different and first-hand, view of Russia.

ALL EYES ON RUSSIA: World Cup kicks off in Moscow and 10 Russian cities

Russia has been invaded… by FIFA. And the city is welcoming the invaders with open arms.
The 2018 FIFA World Cup began over the weekend, with soccer (football) matches at the three main Moscow sports stadiums.
The FIFA games have been a tremendous boon for Moscow and will be for many cities across the Russian Federation as the fans sweep across European Russia, following their teams as they play in a total of 64 matches in 12 different venues located in 11 cities.

It took 11 minutes for Russia to score the first goal of the 2018 FIFA World Cup to be scored during Thursday’s opening match between Russia and Saudi Arabia.
The host nation got on the scoreboard early with a Yury Gazinsky header, for which the Saudi Arabian goalie simply couldn’t get to it despite a good effort.
It was Gazinsky’s first goal of his international career.
The goal is exactly the start that Russia needed to get the crowd into it at Luznhiki Stadium in Moscow.

In World Cup Russia 2018, Titans will clash

With only a few hours till the beginning of the sporting world’s most important event – the FIFA World Cup 2018 – in Russia, millions of people around the globe are preparing for what promises to be an exciting edition of the football extravaganza.
Running June 14 to July 15, this year sees the return of Panama, Tunisia, Senegal and Egypt who have been absent for many years. Egypt, for example, returns after 28 years, making an appearance in Italy in 1990.
