Today, Ireland reported 1,263 new coronavirus cases, bringing the country's total to 52,256-- 10,548 cases per million residents. 10,548 cases per million doesn't seem very high. Spain is more than double that. Belgium, Holland, France, the U.K. and Sweden all have higher cases per million. In the U.S. that number stands at a horrific 25,549.
