Iraq's Symbolic, Sure To Increase Discontent, Vote to Toss US Troops out of Iraq

The vote will not change a thing. It's not binding. It's "supported" by a "caretaker" Prime Minister who has one foot out the door.  It's lip service to the discontented populace and will only serve to create still more discontent. The US has and continues to send troops, supplies etc.No doubt other  coalition partners are participating in the build up.

The United States just spent Two Trillion Dollars on Military Equipment. We are the biggest and by far the BEST in the World! If Iran attacks an American Base, or any American, we will be sending some of that brand new beautiful equipment their way...and without hesitation!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) January 5, 2020

  Jerusalem Post

"Iran has been nothing but problems for many years," the president continued. "Let this serve as a WARNING that if Iran strikes any Americans, or American assets, we have targeted 52 Iranian sites (representing the 52 American hostages taken by Iran many years ago), some at a very high level and important to Iran and the Iranian culture, and those targets, and Iran itself, WILL BE HIT VERY FAST AND VERY HARD."

Parliament resolutions, unlike laws, are non-binding to the Iraqi government, but this one has the backing of Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi, who had earlier called on parliament to end foreign troop presence.

Mahdi has already said he'll step down. He's called the "caretaker Prime Minister" in the 5 eyes leftist media as previously reported

"AMY GOODMAN: So, explain now what’s happening with the caretaker Iraqi prime minister, who has already said he’s leaving."

Resignation reported here: November 28/19 Iraqi Prime Minister To Resign- Chaos successful but Not Over...

"Iraq’s prime minister said Friday he would submit his resignation to parliament"

Nothing to cheer about here. It's meaningless public relations. Worthless and misleading.

They could have called for the removal of U.S. forces, not today, not with this airstrike, long before. So, all of this theatrics is to try to vent some anger in the street.  (Manipulate the populace)
