Crime in Los Angeles, Including Violent Attacks By Homeless People, Rose by More than 50% in One Year

Attacks by homeless people are on the rise. There were 6,528 arrests in 2017 in Los Angeles. In 2018, arrests for criminal activity rose to 9,846, an increase of more than 50%. Some of the attackers have been issued tickets for battery instead of being arrested.
