Update On Syrian War Situation: Putin, Erdogan Agree To Establish Demilitarized Zone In Syria's Idlib Province!

Well.... I had hoped that this was not coming... For apparently the long planned offensive by the good guys, the Syrian government forces and their Russian/Arabic allies, may not take place against the last vestiges of so called US run and backed "rebel" and "terrorists" holed up in the northern Syrian province of Idlib.... I for one had wanted to see the SAA take back what is rightfully theirs and make Syria whole once again while finally giving the US the black eye they deserve for trying to overthrow the Syrian government and turn Syria itself into a living hell (Look at how great a job they did in Libya for example..)...But apparently that long awaited offensive against the Idlib pocket may not happen any time soon, for according to the following report from the Southfront website, at www.southfront.org, apparently there has now been an "agreement" reached between Russian Federation President Vladimir Putin, and Turkish President Erdogan, that will see the establishment of a "demilitarized zone" in the Idlib pocket itself!  Here is that article for all to see for themselves, and I do have my own thoughts and comments to follow:#SYRIAEditor's choice 17.09.2018 - 1,231 viewsPUTIN, ERDOGAN AGREE TO ESTABLISH DEMILITARIZED ZONE IN SYRIA’S IDLIBAFP 2018 / Mohamed Haj KadourRussia and Turkey have agreed to establish a “demilitarized zone” between militants and government troops in the Syrian province of Idlib, President Vladimir Putin stated following a face-to-face meeting with Turkey’s Recep Tayyip Erdogan on September 17.

“We’ve focused on the situation in the province of Idlib, considering presence of large militant groups and their infrastructure there,” Putin stated following the talks. “We’ve agreed to create a demilitarized zone between the government troops and militants before October 15. The zone will be 15-20 km deep, with full withdrawal of hardline militants from there, including the Jabhat Al-Nusra [now known as Hayat Tahrir al-Sham].”

Putin said that all heavy weaponry, including battle tanks and artillery, will be withdrawn from the zone before October 10. He further added that the zone will be patrolled by Turkish and Russian military units. He also revealed that the agreement has a “general” support from the Syrian government. It’s expected that roads between Aleppo and Hama, and Aleppo and Latakia must be reopened for transit traffic before the end of the year.According to Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu, the details will be agreed with the Syrian side in the upcoming hours.NTS Notes: Honestly, I am a bit shocked and peeved at what has happened here... Syria is still an independent nation and any decisions concerning itself and its people should be decided by the Syrian people and NOT by some outside parties....I therefore am deeply pissed off that the Russians made this agreement with the Turkish leadership to determine the future of Idlib and its people, when that future should have been determined by the rightful government of Syria within Damascus itself....There is however a "human" aspect in this agreement, for the expected attack on Idlib could have cost thousands of lives of the civilians held by the 'rebels' and "terrorists" there... Therefore the possibility that this agreement had to be reached to save those lives may have come into play...I in fact wrote the following comment at the Southfront article that I want to share with readers here:northerntruthseeker . I am like everyone else... I wanted to see the SAA attack and regain the territory that is rightfully theirs...However, in the light of the continuing insanity of the criminal American "leadership" that wants to make sure their rebels and "terrorists" in Idlib survive, this may be the best choice for the alternative was to see the fight further escalate into WW3....And yes, many readers are right that this "agreement" was made without the Syrian government's input and it goes against every rule of a nation's sovereignty... NO outside power should be able to make this type of decision for that decision should always rightfully belong to the Syrian people alone..Lets see where this goes.... This may save the lives of countless civilians.... And yet it gives the psychos in the US a sense of victory in allowing their fraudulent operatives and mercenaries that have been murdering thousands of innocent people the ability to survive and to make hell on Syria again sometime in the future...Yes, this is now a "hollow" victory for the Syrian people and the idea of making ALL OF SYRIA whole again... And I do wonder if this was forced due to the psychosis of the American/Israeli bastards who have threatened a full escalation of the Syrian conflict into a world war if the SAA launched their long expected attack on Idlib...I will hand it to Penny over at "Penny For Your Thoughts" (www.pennyforyourthoughts2.blogspot.com), for she had predicted a while back that this type of underhanded agreement that prevents the victory of the SAA in freeing their nation would take place.... And apparently the Turks and the Russians have indeed snatched that victory away from Syria!Lets see where this goes..... We have seen so many countless "ceasefires" and "agreements" made before in regards to Syria, and in each previous case the criminals in the US/Israel/NATO scourge have broken those agreements and used them to their advantage to rearm their operatives and to create more havoc for the Syrian people.... I seriously doubt that this one will be any different...More to comeNTS
