While the mainstream media failed to mention this story, local media outlets in Killeen, Texas reported that near the Ft. Hood gate entrance, a fake bomb was placed in a neighborhood where residents were evacuated and not allowed back in their homes until around 5PM today. The fake bomb was attached to a resident’s pickup truck and was made to look like some sort of car bomb. An EOD team from Ft. Hood was dispatched to the scene and discovered that the bomb was fake. One of the local news outlets reported that they actually blew it up to neutralize it (possibly in a bomb disposal container). The incident has all the hallmarks of a drill or an act of sabotage to coincide with the shooting yesterday. The pickup truck with the fake explosive was discovered this morning. It was either placed there very early on Thursday or last night right after the shooting.
