Vermont

Neither Washington Nor Stowe

As Vermonters we are perhaps the most weather conscious people in North America. We feel the winter winds through the drafts of old farm houses, smell the melting snow when collecting our sap buckets, hear the birds of summer while tending our farms and gardens, and see the beauty of fall written across the hills in oranges, reds, and yellows. If Bernie Can Get Voters To Focus On Actual Issues, He'll Be President

Many people were shocked when Bernie came in tied for first place in Vermont's presidential contest-- no not among Democrats (he's at 70% in that race), but among Republicans! They shouldn't have been; Vermont Republicans like him. Governor Peter Shumlin took only 170,767 votes (58.0%).

Thankfully, Vermont stood strong and is fighting back.

Over the weekend, Bernie Sanders spoke to the biggest live crowd any candidate has drawn so far in the election cycle-- 28,000 people in Portland. Monday night his live audience in Los Angeles was 27,000. Right-wingers celebrate when they draw over 100 people. And, unlike Trump, Bernie isn't paying actors $50 each to show up for his events.

Major Vermont Hospital to Cut GMOs from Menu

Many have questioned whether hospitals are really conducive to healing since they serve pesticide-ridden GMOs to their patients as they recover from some of the same illnesses that GMOs create, but one medical center in Vermont which serves 2 million meals a year is preparing to reduce GMOs served to both patients and hospital visitors alike.
