An Associated Press story on Friday, Trump's Presidency has Changed Washington, Defied Convention, sounds kind of good-- but is kind of horrible.

by NoahUnlike the creator of the above cartoon, I'm not so sure that a psychopath like Paul Ryan would think Trump shooting someone on 5th Avenue was at all unfortunate. Judging by his political career and what he has stood for, he might even criticize his boy Trump for only shooting one person. His record shows that he has no problem with mass shootings, after all.

That should be apparent to anyone who's been watching the metastization of the worst features of right-wing populism within the American conservative movement and within the Republican Party.

A psychologist friend of mine diagnosed Trump last night. Prognosis doesn't sound good-- for us. "Trump’s ego has dissipated and his id has risen to the surface of consciousness. Trump has realized he can do whatever he wants and he is letting his id loose. It is growing and morphing into a lethal andromeda strain. A malicious, gleeful, vindictive, wrecking crew of impulses is on the move." Schumer warned him of "severe consequences" if he shuts down the Mueller investigation. Oh, yeah, that'll stop him.
