In March of 2018, President Putin made a series of surprising announcements regarding the incredible advances in hypersonic flight technology achieved by Russian engineers and scientists. The Avangard and Kinzhal missiles were both discussed at that time, respectively, Mach 20- and Mach 10-capable systems that were both able to alter course in flight, defeating any and all known anti-missile systems, anywhere.
The Russian news program Vesti Nedeliy launched a propaganda nuke at the Russian nation and at the West on 25 February with a broadcast narrated by Dmitry Kiselyov about the capabilities of Russia’s new hypersonic Zircon missile. The report made waves with its bellicose graphic and discussion of the missile being used against specific US targets. The video segment is shown here below:
President Vladimir Putin gave a very long and comprehensive speech about the Russian State of the Nation on February 20, 2019. As he pledged upon his re-election to his fourth presidential term, the 66-year old leader focused primarily on domestic affairs within the Russian Federation.
In Part I of our series on the Russian State of the Nation speech given annually, this year by President Vladimir Putin, we outlined Russia’s position as regards military and geopolitical pressure from the United States and Great Britain. We did this to offer (as best we can) the Russian point of view, much of which was filtered by Western media in its never-ending drive to isolate and demonize the Russian Federation.

Last year’s speech, given March 1, was a real topic of amazement for both Russia and the West, as the president revealed the new hypersonic weaponry that the Russian Federation has been developing, as well as other extremely sophisticated means of defense for the nation. At first the West mocked these claims, but time proved Mr. Putin correct.
One of the aspects of news about Ukraine that does not make it past the gatekeepers of the American and Western news media is how a significant contingent of Ukrainian nationalists have espoused a sense of reverence for Nazis. The idea that this could even happen anywhere in the world in an open manner makes the claim seem too absurd to be taken seriously. Gone are the days when the Nazi swastika adorned streets and buildings in Europe. Right?
Well, maybe, wrong.
