repealing Obamacare

When I worked for Time-Warner, I was a divisional president. Presidents and chairmen got the best health insurance corporate American has to offer. When i retired I was very nervous because I had a pre-existing condition and was basically uninsurable. But what I soon found out-- much to my relief-- is that my Time-Warner platinum-plated health insurance would continue until I turned old enough for Medicare.

The Republicans in each house of Congress have voted literally dozens and dozens of times over the past 7 years to repeal the Affordable Care Act, a top priority of an avaricious donor class that doesn't like the idea of helping to pay for poor peoples' healthcare.

Yesterday we talked about why Beto O'Rouke spent two July 4th weekend days campaigning in deep red Lubbock and why that should serve as a model for Democrats everywhere. The Lubbock 4th of July parade is a big west Texas tradition.

If your daddy was a crooked multimillionaire who left you a bundle, healthcare isn't that complicated... at least for yourself. You just go to the doctor-- even a silly one-- and you write a check. If an incompetent and ignorant son of a crooked multimillionaire hoodwinks enough people to get elected president, healthcare gets more complicated.

It may go down as Trump’s biggest bait and switch ever. It’s pay more for worse insurance and while we’re at it, we’re cutting Medicaid and redistributing the wealth of American citizens upward, bigly.

Everyone thought the Senate would get their hands on the really radical, really destructive-- and really hated-- House Republican “healthcare” bill, TrumpCare, crafted by Paul Ryan and Tom Price and bastardized by Freedom Caucus chairman Mark Meadows and rogue Tuesday Group opportunist Tom MacArthur, and turn it into something more palatable and more mainstream.

I don't watch Morning Joe but Bernie tweeted some of this rant Friday and it really is awesome.

Earlier today we looked at the need for Democratic candidates to talk with voters more about the issues voters are most concerned with and less about what a walking freak show Trump is.
