Thirty-nine members of Congress, primarily from the Congressional Progressive Caucus, signed this letter to Trump yesterday, committing themselves to pursuing an investigation of Brett Kavanaugh that could lead to his impeachment.

For most candidates for Congress-- and incumbents-- the economics of politics is about how to access money to keep their careers moving ahead. The only million dollar Democratic self-funder who won in 2016 was Vicente Gonzalez, a real sleaze from south Texas, who spent $1,850,000 of his own dough.

Last cycle I begged the Congressional Progressive Caucus to not throw south Texas progressive Sonny Palacios under the bus by endorsing hard-core conservative crook Vicente Gonzalez.

There are 16 House Democrats with perfect scores from ProgressivePunch for the current session-- a score of 100. One, Pramila Jayapal (D-WA) is a freshman, which means her lifetime crucial vote score is also 100. The other freshmen with eye-popping great scores are Jamie Raskin (D-MD), Adriano Espaillat (D-NY) and Ro Khanna (D-CA).
