We talk about her recent Television Critics Association award for best reality series and what a huge step this is in exposing Scientology to the world. Jeffrey and I also touch on Elizabeth Moss, who walked out of the award show in protest over this.

Imagine a journalist who was scheduled to interview Charles Manson and didn’t ask a single question about the infamous Manson Family Murders? Such a person probably wouldn’t be consider a very good journalist to avoid scrutinising a man famous only for an act of criminality, on that act of criminality.
But what if another journalist is set to interview a head of state about his thoughts, his life and his times? Surely this would be less of a cross-examination that a respectful meeting where a leader is allowed to discuss openly his most compelling thoughts?

Oliver Stone’s interview of the Russian President airing on Showtime continues to garner much liberal left hatred for its humanization of Vladimir Putin, which for the radical liberal left is a major no-no.
The academy-winning filmmaker started the interview dismantling the Financial Times’ Matthew Garrahan, and his propaganda about Russia’s “hacking” into US elections.
Stone then answered a Syria Human Rights Watch, war crimes gotcha question, with amazing skill and calm…

I have now watched the first three episodes of the Putin Interviews, which is sufficient to give an overview of the series.
In my opinion it is by far the best and most interesting series of programmes which have appeared on Western television about Vladimir Putin.

Reports have surfaced that during his heated exchange with Stephen Colbert, Oliver Stone responded to statements from Colbert repeating the tired narrative about Russia interfering in the US election by bringing up an elephant in the room that many media outlets have totally ignored.
Stone said of alleged and thus far totally unproved Russian interference,

“Israel had far more involvement in the US election than Russia, why don’t you ask me about that?”

Colbert, quick to end that part of the discussion replied,
