Well... it is for voters in congressional races in Colorado, New York, Oklahoma and Utah. New York is tomorrow's big deal but let's take a quick look at the other state's first. There are no serious primaries for either party in House races in Colorado but there's a hot Senate contest.

Barbara Lee says no wars without congressional approval; Fred Upton disagreesLast week the House passed the 2017 Defense Appropriations bill. As part of the debate, Barbara Lee (D-CA) offered an amendment that would prohibit the use of funds for the 2001 Authorization for the Use of Military Force, a blanket excuse any president-- Clinton or Trump-- could use to attack anyone, anywhere without seeking constitutionally-mandated congressional approval.

Unless...Right-wing extremists and anti-immigrant fanatics Paul Gosar (R-AZ) and Steve King (R-IA) offered two amendments Thursday to prevent undocumented immigrants from serving in the U.S. military. Gosar's amendment was defeated 210-211, 30 Republicans crossing the aisle to vote with every single Democrat.

The Blue America truck-- our mobile billboard-- has been driving the roads and streets and highways of NY-24 since Memorial Day... and will continue right up through New York's congressional primary on June 28.

The nexus of Democratic Party evil-- their way or the highwayThe incompetence and venality of a DCCC run by corrupt conservatives-- particularly Rahm Emanuel and Steve Israel, the former a New Dem and the latter a Blue Dog-- has led to overwhelming Republican victories in the House, including in bright blue districts where Obama won in 2008 and/or 2012.

Over the weekend, the NY Times speculated that the "early optimism" in the Clinton camp for an easy landslide win against a Trump campaign weighed down with so much baggage "is evaporating." The hopeless party hacks and mercenary lobbyists who control her dull, utterly conventional campaign have no idea how to fight Trump.

Friday, the DCCC added 14 candidates to its "Red to Blue" program, primarily by moving mediocre candidates from their "Emerging Races" list, although the DCCC has also chosen sides in the crucial Syracuse, New York-area race in which it has previously been unable to pick between Colleen Deacon, a mediocre candidate backed by Chuck Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand and Steve Williams, the Steve Israel candidate.

The DCCC has a new trick to help their corrupt conservative candidates steal primaries. Although it hasn't been reported in the lazy Beltway media yet, we've been getting reports from around the country that Steve Israel and the DCCC have been counseling their anti-working family candidates to give up on trying to win on ideas, values and policies and to use dirty tricks instead.
