by NoahWell, the year is almost over and my annual year in review will soon come to an end. But, before I get to that point, I thought it might be nice to shine a light on some of the other lesser republican nutjobs, assorted party luminaries, up and comers, relative unknowns, and ordinary Republican citizens alike. Today’s installment is a small sample of Republicans who really let their Nazi flag fly in 2018.

Nazis make the perfect Hollywood villains – instantly recognisable, obviously deplorable and easy to recreate. So why were there no anti-Nazi films until 1939, on the eve of World War 2? This week I explore the history of Nazis in Hollywood in the 1930s, how the German government influenced American film-making, and the Jewish intelligence organisation who did what the FBI wouldn’t – infiltrated and helped prosecute the Nazis.

Four years ago, scholar Ben Urwand revealed how the Nazis' man in Hollywood Georg Gyssling censored and rewrote film scripts to remove scenes and dialogue that criticised the Nazi regime. He also repeatedly removed references to the suffering of Jews in post-WW1 Germany. Hidden until now, the DOD continued this policy after the war, helping rehabilitate Germany's image and cover up for anti-semitism.

by NoahWell, isn't this special. During the Brett Kavanaugh hearings, it just wasn't enough for the Republican Party to message the country that sexual assault is no big deal and that Dr. Ford was lying and that Kavanaugh should be confirmed no matter what.

LONDON — Following the flimsy accusations of anti-Semitism discussed in the first part of this series, the Israel Lobby has, with heavy pressure, succeeded in persuading the U.K.’s Labour Party to adopt a far-reaching definition of anti-Semitism. With this policy incorporated into the Labour Party, almost any negative commentary on Israel could officially be called anti-Semitic.
