Americans went to the polls November 6 to vote in the midterm elections, giving the green light for marijuana either medical or recreational uses in 3 more states. [1]
On November 6, Michigan became the first Midwest state to legalize marijuana for recreational use, joining 9 other states and the District of Columbia: Washington, Oregon, Nevada, California, Alaska, Colorado, Vermont, Massachusetts, and Maine. [1] [2]
Missouri and Utah approved medical marijuana measures, becoming the 32nd and 33rd state in the nation to do so. [1]

A Debate for Auditor: What the Papers Wouldn’t Say

Wells Fargo-- The Anti-Medical Marijuana Bank-- Strikes Again

There was some excellent news out of Florida, where the primaries are next Tuesday. The progressive in the race, Tallahassee mayor Andrew Gillum, is surging into first place. A new poll shows him with 33% while his two closest rivals, conservatives Gwen Graham and Philip Levine are each down to 22% and the other progressive in the race, Jeff Greene, is languishing at 10%.

Britian set to legalize medical marijuana

British Home Secretary Sajid Javid announced on Thursday that British doctors will soon be able to prescribe marijuana derived medicines for patients ‘with an exceptional clinical need’. The decision comes after a review by a panel which pointed to specific cases. The matter will be presided over by the health and regulatory agencies who will determine what cannabis derived products constitute medicines, which would be prescribed by a competent physician.

Georgia legalizes recreational Marijuana

Yesterday, the Georgian Constitutional Court revoked administrative punishment for consumption of marijuana, taking note of the high degree of disproportionality between the consumption of the drug and its legal penalty. The decision to abolish administrative punishment for the use of marijuana essentially means that doing so is now legal in Georgia.
