Intense Battles For the Mind Are Raging! Turkish/ Russian Dissolution or Adapting to Changing Realities?
"Realpolitik is the ability to adapt as realities change. It speaks of resilience, strength and determination"

The claim of "blow to Turkey" is being made in regard to the securing the two highways. Though, it's completely out of touch with reality to my mind. You may ask- Why do you say that? Why is this situation being viewed so differently here then elsewhere?Let me explain. The Year is 2018..... And the Astana Guarantors made the Idlib Agreement- In that agreement the M-4 and M-5 highways were to be reopened because it is beneficial to Iran, Syria and Turkey that this happens. As stated nearly two years ago:
Yahoo, to the fact that Greencrow reported on US actions in Syria!
What is and has been occurring in the general locale of Idlib province Syria requires a near herculean effort to sort out.Below is fake news and a fake news headline:
"Turkish troops “neutralised” 101 Syrian soldiers, Ankara said, in retaliation for the regime killing at least five Turkish soldiers and wounding five more in an attack in Idlib province on Monday"
Wall Street Journal published a piece claiming there’s a "conflict you’ve not heard about"Wrong! Readers here have heard/read about it. Having, in fact, been informed fairly extensively about the conflict, that is the subject of their oped. While others obfuscate, we’ve explored, as much as possible, in order to have a basic understanding of the situation.
Did the US simply get it all wrong? The NYT’s asks the most preposterous question, in my opinion, regarding the attack on the K1 base in Iraq. Was the US “wrong”? Oh, no they weren’t. They were not wrong. Not mistaken. Nor were they misinformed. It was not a question of having the wrong intel or anything like that at all. They lied. It’s that simple. They lied. That’s how I see it! The US was looking for any excuse to further implant themselves in Iraq. Entrench. To Expand. They wanted to kill Soleimani. And they were testing the waters with Iran.
We've long moved passed the idea that destabilizing Syria is about Syria, alone. Hence the remaking of the middle east and it's birth pangs are and have been covered for years here at the blog.
The anti Turkey sentiment expressed everywhere has roots somewhere. It comes through think tanks, msm and the alternative media. Some expressions of irrational anti-Turkey sentiment may be unwitting. A great many are witting. Managing our perceptions is paramount. Worth keeping in mind. All the time.Readers here surely know about JINSA ? If not.... JINSA
Press TV I've been reading and can't help but notice contradictory reporting everywhere. Out of context quoting... and more. Did Turkey beef up it's presence? Or did the US beef up it's presence in Syria's north? Did Turkey launch airstrikes? It doesn't seem so. Syrian media didn't mention that. Russia said no Turkish planes violated Syrian airspace. Odd?
Time to write something about Trump's 'peace plan'Qatar has caveats. Turkey and Jordan are criticalIsrael has long had eyes on remaking Jordan..... So their criticism is understandable.
