California U.S. Senator Kamala Harris (who until recently was California’s Attorney General) is a gifted prosecutor, but that doesn’t qualify a person to be the type of person who will make a good U.S. President. An American President needs very different gifts than that, and she unfortunately doesn’t possess those.

When I was growing up, there weren't a lot of women's voices in the media. I'm old. But I remember always wanting to read Eleanor Clift in Newsweek, not so much because I agreed with her but because she was the only woman around writing about politics. She's even older than I am-- and older than Biden, Trump and Bernie.

Kamala Harris had a good debate, dramatically playing the race card against Biden. He certainly deserved it. She on the other hand, doesn't necessarily deserve all the acclaim she's getting for how she handled it. But she's getting lots and lots of acclaim-- and a flood of money and great polling numbers. The RealClearPolitics national polling average :
