The government of Nicaragua has rejected the decision of the United States to sanction the Central American nation through the so-called Nica Act and demanded respect for its sovereignty.

Efforts by the United Nations to create a database of blacklisted companies operating in the West Bank, East Jerusalem and the Golan Heights, has come under sharp criticism from Nikki Haley, the United States Ambassador to the UN, who has said it “reeks of anti-Israel bias”.

The case Ukraine is bringing in the International Court of Justice is attracting scant international attention and has been almost entirely ignored by Western governments and by the Western media.  Having said this it is an interesting case which begs a number of obvious questions.
