On April 4, 1949 the North Atlantic Treaty Organization was founded. This year the NATO celebrates its 69th birthday.
The alliance was created as a counterbalance for the communistic system of values, literally to defend the European countries from the Soviet invasion.
For more than a quarter of a century we have been watching a paradox: the Soviet Union can be found only in history books, while the NATO goes on existing, expands and increases its military presence in Europe.

If not Russia, then who did it?
Russia’s accusers claim there are no alternative explanations for the attack: nobody, apart from the Russian state, is understood to have had a motive for the attempted murder. This argument can only make sense to those who believe in the world of an evil, criminal Russia whose only opponents are pure, honest, angelic fighters for freedom and justice.

Russia had long been hoping that the EU may gradually put to an end its sanctions policy. It is still very dependent on trade with the block. It would be insane for Russia to do anything that could threaten the current Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline project, especially given that the US, with the support of a number of EU countries mainly from Eastern Europe, has been putting pressure on the EU to abandon the project. Senator Sergei Kalashnikov of the Federation Council of the Russian Duma claims that the West has launched an operation to expel Russia from the United Nations Security Council.

MOSCOW, March 14 (Itar-Tass) – RIA Novosti. The West launched a powerful operation to remove Russia from the UN Security Council as an uncomfortable player for them, hence all the “rolls” on our country, first deputy head of the economic committee of the Council of Federation Sergey Kalashnikov told RIA Novosti on Wednesday.

After V. V. Putin’s historic speech on March 1st, 2018, and the revelations of Russia formidable new weapons, I wrote a letter to my friends and family, and all the good people in the USA. I wanted them to know that Russia isn’t threatening them, or anyone, that there is an opportunity as well as a warning for them, and that they are the only ones who can stop the 3rd World War before it starts.  I explained the responsibility they have, as well as the benefits if they rise to the occasion, and the price they will pay if they do not.

Russia never shows aggression or escalates, but when challenged it responds, often asymmetrically.  A non-aggressive way to respond to attacks and aggression from the U.S. and its NATO allies is to introduce new weapon systems to the Syrian battlefield.
