I bet if Pelosi held her town hall back in her San Francisco district instead of on a CNN set with Chris Cuomo, it would have been a very different event. I suspect she would have faced a similar response from activists that other members of Congress have gotten from their constituents. First of all, all Cuomo's questions about the day's Trump infotainment crap would not have dominated an opportunity to find out what Pelosi stands for and where she wants to take her party and our country.

At an RNC meeting in California today, members watched a video message from Trump that is as unattached to reality as any of his lunatic tweets. He's promising to campaign for Republican candidates during the midterms. I wonder how many will invite him. "I'll be going around to different states. I'll be working hard for people running for Congress and the people running for the Senate. We can pick up a lot of seats, especially if it keeps going the way it's going now," he said.

Did you watch the very last segment of Chris Hayes' MSNBC show Wednesday evening? He had Bernie on and-- in the wake of the DCCC-less near-win in Kansas Tuesday-- Bernie had some advice for Democrat establishment types that I doubt they want to hear-- or are even capable of hearing. "Number one: a 50-state agenda; do not surrender parts of the country to right-wing Republicans. Number two: a progressive agenda that makes it clear that the Democrats are going to stand for working families [and are] prepared to take on Wall Street and the one percent.
