Careless Cops

The man with the camera was in shock as he witnessed a man on fire rolling around on the sidewalk after a fiery crash.
“Help him out! Help him out!” he yelled to the New Jersey cops who were pulling up to the scene with sirens wailing.
Instead, they kicked and beat him, dragging him into the street before handcuffing him.
Meanwhile, the man they were chasing was running away from the scene.
On Thursday, four Jersey City police officers were criminally charged, including two with attempted murder.

Fearing for his life over a video camera, an Ohio sheriffs deputy shot a photojournalist Monday night who was setting up his camera on a tripod.
New Carlisle News photographer Andy Grimm was struck on the side and was rushed to the hospital where he is expected to survive.
Clark County sheriff’s deputy Jake Shaw apparently confused the camera for a gun.
Grimm, who says he knows Shaw through his job, said he had pulled into a parking lot to photograph the deputy making a traffic stop.

The last thing the public would expect is for cops to have sex with each other on the job in uniform (well actually out of uniform because clothes are off), but that is exactly what five South Carolina sheriff’s deputies did with a female sheriff’s deputy on duty.

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office shot and killed a 17-year-old young man in the early hours of Thursday, June 22, 2017, after responding to a noise complaint regarding a house party.  According to local media outlets and the LASD, the deputies had encountered a dog in the yard and one deputy was bitten.

Imagine you are working under a trailer home, repairing an air conditioner unit and without any warning a vicious and deadly animal attacks you, trying to rip you apart. Well Tim Young of Tomball, Texas does not have to imagine it, he lived this nightmare first hand. While working repairing a customer’s air conditioner unit a Harris County Sheriff’s Office Police Dog, was sent under the residence he was working without any warning and attacked him. Leaving him severely injured, bloodied and treated as if he is a suspect of a crime, when he was simply doing his job.

A Harris County sheriff’s deputy was arrested for assaulting a woman in a club parking lot in Houston.
Now the charges have been dropped by the district attorney.  The deputy in question has been identified as 29-year-old Brian Jones, reports ABC 13.

At first, Texas cops claimed they shot and killed 15-year-old Jordan Edwards because he was in a car driving in an “aggressive manner”  towards an officer.
But Balch Springs Police Chief Jonathan Haber has since said the car was driving away from officers before the cop fired, killing the teen who was riding passenger in a car driven by his brother.

Four Texas cops shot a man multiple times initially reporting it was necessary to shoot him so many times because he fired a gun at them.
But three days after the April 7 shooting, Austin police issued a contrary report stating three of the officers were only following the lead of the first officer who erroneously began shooting rounds at the man claiming he pointed a gun at him.
Turns out, Lawrence Parrish never shot a gun and maybe did not even have a gun.

A Texas assistant police chief received a warning and a chuckle after he was stopped by a fellow officer speeding at 92 mph in a 65-mph-speed zone last month.
Now, the interim chief ordered his subordinate to be issued a ticket.

These days it is not uncommon for cops to get arrested for assault.
But Officer Christopher Reiter, 36, of the Minneapolis Police Department took things way too far when he kicked Mohamed Osman while he was already down on the ground.
Osman suffered severe brain injuries, brain bleeding and ended up with fractures in his face, including sinus fractures in his nose.
Because of the injuries, Osman is unable to work.
