Former Armenian President Robert Kocharyan was arrested on Friday on charges of ‘overthrowing the constitutional order of Armenia’, which is being alleged by the Special Investigation Service. The SIS submitted a petition to the Primary Court of General Jurisdiction requesting Kocharyan’s detention as a preventive measure to head him off as a flight risk. The Secretary-General of the Collective Security (CSTO), Colonel-General Yuri Khachaturov, has also been charged with ‘overthrowing the constitutional order of Armenia’.
Following the deaths of two teens in a brawl, protesters have taken to the streets of Tblisi to demand that the Prime Minister, Georgy Kvirikashvili, and chief prosecutor, Irakly Shotadze leave office.
The protests are led by the father of one of the deceased teens who is pledging to stay camped outside the Parliament building until his demands are met, which includes the resignation of the Prime Minister and his cabinet.

Thousands of protesters marched in the streets earlier to day demanding the resignation of Albania’s Prime Minister, Edi Rama, over alleged links to organized crime.
Albania is a NATO member and is presently looking forward to upcoming talks on its next phase of European integration. The protests come about a month before talks are set to resume on that topic.
This isn’t the first time Rama has fielded mass protests which seek his removal, last year saw multiple such events take place.

As President Donald Trump brings an end to America’s participation in the 2015 Iran nuclear deal and resumes preexisting economic sanctions on the Middle Eastern country, and introduces some fresh ones, Russia and the Eurasian Economic Union are finally putting some finishing touches on a deal to erect free trade with Iran, and some economic cooperation with the Chinese.
The US has chosen to target six individuals and three companies for further sanctions as a part of its withdrawal from the Iran nuclear deal, it’s first round of new sanctions since Trump’s announcement.
