The news coming out of Syria over the last few days has had its both highs and lows... Presently, the good guys, the Syrian government forces and their Russian and Arabic Allies, are within days now of taking total control of the city of Aleppo.... The "rebels" and "terrorists" still holed up in eastern Aleppo have now been squeezed into an increasingly small pocket and have no hope of escape or winning against the superior Syrian forces.... But while Aleppo is about to fall, elsewhere there has been some setbacks for the Syrians, especially in and around the central Syrian city of Palmyra...First, I want to present the following report from the Tasnim News Agency website, at www.tasnimnews.com, that shows clearly that the Syrian government forces are now within striking range of finishing off the "terrorists" still holed up in eastern Aleppo, as the good guys now control some 98% of the entire city! Here is that report for everyone to see for themselves here:Syria Army in Control of 98% of Eastern AleppoNews ID: 1265716 Service: World December, 12, 2016 - 15:38
DAMASCUS (Tasnim) – Syrian forces on Monday managed to reclaim several more areas from Takfiri terrorists in eastern Aleppo, and are now only steps away from the full liberation of the embattled northwestern city.
According to Tasnim dispatches, the army troops and their allies seized control of the areas of Karem al-Afandi, Karem al-Da’da, al-Salehin, and al-Firdous on Monday after inflicting major losses on the terrorists in eastern neighborhoods of Aleppo. The forces are now advancing toward Jiser al-Hajj, al-Jlom, Bab al-Maqam, al-Firdous and Qal’et al-Sahreef.The report added that the Syrian government forces are now in control of nearly 98 percent of eastern Aleppo. The latest developments came after the army wrested back Sheikh Saeed, a major district in the eastern sector. The Syrian military, which is in control of the western part of the city, has been fighting to wrest back its militant-held east. The recent army gains come despite the persistent financial and military support that many foreign states have been providing to the militants since 2011 to bring about the ouster of President Bashar al-Assad.Syria has been gripped by civil war since March 2011 with various terrorist groups, including Daesh, currently controlling parts of it.According to a report by the Syrian Center for Policy Research, the conflict has claimed the lives of over 470,000 people, injured 1.9 million others, and displaced nearly half of the country’s pre-war population of about 23 million within or beyond its borders.R1355/P42410Yes, the map itself in that article is particularly telling... We can see that the pocket itself is now almost indefensible and that the fraud "terrorists" will indeed have no choice now to either surrender or die...But again, while Aleppo will indeed be a great victory for Bashar al-Assad and the Syrian people, elsewhere there indeed has been some serious setbacks... In particular at the city of Palmyra, where according to the following report from the All True News online newspaper (all.true-news.info), the Syrian government has now had to admit to the fall of Palmyra to that "rag tag" group of "ISIS" "terrorists", which indeed is a major setback in this war to free Syria... Here is that report right here:Monday, December 12th, 2016 | Post created adminThe Syrian government acknowledged the fall of PalmyraPalmyraPhoto: SANDRA AUGER/REUTERSSyrian authorities have acknowledged that the government army left Palmyra under the onslaught of the militants. As informs Agency Reuters, the Governor of HOMS province (which is PAL) Talal Barazi said in an interview with the Syrian TV station Ikhbariyah that the militants of the “Islamic state” managed to take the city, and the army retreated to the outskirts of Palmyra.“The army is doing everything possible to not allow terrorists to hold the Palmyra,” said Barazi.Earlier, the Russian centre for reconciliation in Syria said that during a new offensive in the Palmyra, the militants managed to break into the city. The report stated that the militants suffered heavy losses. The reason of occurrence of the center for conciliation pointed out the fact that the rebels concentrated chetyrehtysyachnuyu group, having received serious reinforcements from Raqqa district, where the attack stopped controlled by the United States troops. The situation in Paris escalated on Saturday, when the militants managed to break into the city, released with the support of the Russian space forces . Later, the Russian defense Ministry said that dislodged terrorists from Palmyra, and their losses amounted to about 300 people. However, on Sunday morning, Arab media said that the terrorists managed to capture the castle in the center of Palmyra and break through to the city airport.Failure at Palmyra did not stop the Syrian offensive in Aleppo, where the army on Sunday managed to take control of several city blocks. In an interview with the Iranian Fars news Agency one of the commanders of the government troops of Mohannad al-Haj said that the full liberation of Aleppo can be expected within the next 48 hours.OK, why am I not in the least bit surprised by this setback in Palmyra? I stated it clearly over the last week that this "ISIS force" that has "suddenly" appeared almost out of nowhere and has now attacked Palmyra is the same "8-10 thousand" fraud "ISIS" operatives that were "evacuated" out of Mosul over a month ago by their controllers in the United States and allowed to "redeploy" into Syria itself....What has now happened at Palmyra is the US operatives and mercenaries that make up "ISIS" have been fully rearmed by their US masters, and are now attacking Palmyra to both try to ease the pressure on the operatives left at Aleppo, and to keep their Syrian war going...I do wonder what the Syrian government will do now? They have committed the bulk of their forces to the liberation of Aleppo, and are now trying to rush reserve forces and troops from other fronts to attempt to retake Palmyra.... And according to the following report from the South Front website, at www.southfront.org, this capture of Palmyra by the US operatives aka "ISIS" does not sit well with the Russians, and now the Russians will do everything possible to take back Palmyra... Here is that report:RUSSIA TO DO ‘EVERYTHING’ TO TAKE BACK PALMYRA FROM ISIS – DEPUTY FM© AP Photo/ Militant PhotoDeputy Foreign Minister, Vladimir Titov, said on December 12 that Russia will do all what is possible to take back Palmyra from terrorists.
“We consider the liberation of Palmyra to be a very important result of our joint actions. Obviously, we will do everything to prevent terrorists from returning to these areas,” he said.
On December 11, ISIS terrorists seized the ancient city of Palmyra from the Syrian army as result of a 4-day long offensive operation.Syrian government forces, supported by the Russian Aerospace Forces, liberated Palmyra from ISIS for the first time in March, 2016. The city was under the terrorist group’s control sinceAs I said before, the US/Israel/NATO criminal cabal are indeed sore losers, and with the impending fall of Aleppo, they are indeed using a "Plan B" and looking elsewhere in Syria to try to turn the tide in their favor.. Apparently Palmyra now seems to be their focal point...I honestly do wonder what the Russians will now do to help the Syrians... We may indeed see a new phase in this war where the Russians may bring in their own ground troops to assist the Syrians directly.... And with that, there may indeed be the risk of direct confrontation between criminal US/NATO forces already "embedded" with the "terrorists" and these Russian forces.... The situation therefore could indeed get very ugly very quickly...More to comeNTS
