There are plenty of ways to contribute to Trump's campaign-- directly or indirectly, as well as directly and indirectly. There are also ways-- many ways-- to cover up your contributions. I noticed, for example that there were dozens of individuals (as opposed to companies) who had given $10,000 or more to Trump's Make America Great Again Committee. Just in the last couple of months, these were some of the people who thought contributing over $10,000 each to Trump's committee was a good idea. Does that make them fascists? Racists? Bad people?
• William Polk of Waco, Texas-- $35,000• Gaetano Cecchini of Massillon, Ohio-- $25,000• Maritha Blalock of Stanton, Texas-- $25,000• Frank Dalton of High Point, North Carolina-- $20,000• Allen Stephenson of Greenville, South Carolina-- $10,000• Andrew Miles of Vero Beach Florida-- $10,000• Scott McComb of Black Lick Ohio-- $10,000• Lisa Lin of Austin Texas-- $10,000• James Laham of Glen Allen, Virginia-- $10,000• Ned Holmes of Houston, Texas-- $10,000• Brian Hard of Reading, Pennsylvania-- $10,000• Bruce Bunker of somewhere in New Mexico-- $10,000• Jackie (or Jack) Amen in Wyoming-- $10,000• Yolanda Speranza of Commack, New York-- $10,000
Truth Speaks To Power by Nancy OhanianAnd last but for from least, the notorious Bob Mercer of Renasissance Technologies in Setauket New York-- $10,000. (In the 2016 election, Mercer ponied up $15,511,600, making him and his family the biggest Trump donors. And the cash was only part of what he gave Trump. He gave him KellyAnne Conway, Steve Bannon, David Bossie and other neo-fascist staffers... plus the services of companies he owns like Breibart and Cambridge Analytica. Yes, lots of ways to contribute! There's an online movement in the last week to expose the people funding Trump's fascist politics. It started with Miami Dolphins owner-- and billionaire real estate developer-- Stephen Ross and his wife Kara Gaffney, who are throwing a big fundraiser for Trump at their mansion in the Southampton today. Highest price tickets are $250,000 to sit at the orange-hued pig man's table. After the massacres in El Paso and Dayton, the wife pretended she isn't a racist by sending out this Instagram post:Ross also owns gym chains Equinox, SoulCycle PURE Yoga and Blink Fitness, all of which are now being boycotted with members cancelling their memberships. Ross issued a statement saying he's "always been an active participant in the democratic process." And the chains-- freaking out-- are pretending they have nothing to do with the toxic Rosses.A parallel contretemps began when San Antonio Congressman Joaquin Castro-- twin brother of the presidential candidate-- released the names of (already public information at FEC.gov) dozens of Trump campaign contributors, most of whom are, presumably racists or Nazis or both, like all Trump campaign contributors. Mark Hanrahan, one of the wealthy San Antonio racists who was outed by Castro as a Trump contributor, is the CEO of MidAmerican Aerospace was whining on Fox yesterday: "I and a lot of other people that support the president, we're not gonna be called racist and the other slurs without fighting back."And I just could not resist including this graphic I found a few minutes ago on Twitter. It's just so, so Trumpian. Raise your hand if you think Steve Ross is "very happy." If Dante were alive today, he'd have to come up with a whole new circle! Really has there ever been anyone like Trump before-- this incredibly toxic? Let's just pray there's never anyone like him again!
