SWEDEN: Assange Court Documents Released – But Are Totally REDACTED

For the last six years, WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange has been camped out in the basement of Ecuadoran embassy in Belgravia, London. He has done so in order to avoid extradition to Sweden for an alleged ‘date-rape’ case, and then further on, to the United States for espionage-related charges. On May 19th we learned that Swedish prosecutors officially dropped their judicial inquiry into the seven year old allegation against Assange.
This week, Swedish prosecutors decided to finally release the documents relating to their attempts to extradite Assange.
Incredibly, all of the documents provided by Sweden have been fully redacted, down to the bullet point, bar one…

Swedish state just released docs on why it really wanted to extradite me. Innovative redaction of bullet points. True integrity. #blackops pic.twitter.com/OifFL13uHV

The 2016 US Presidential Election place Julian Assange back in the media spotlight, as Wikileaks played a pivotal role in publishing many of the biggest election scandals of the season – which dealt a serious blow to the Hillary Clinton campaign.
Assange wrote on WikiLeaks in February 2016: “I have had years of experience in dealing with Hillary Clinton and have read thousands of her cables. Hillary lacks judgement and will push the United States into endless, stupid wars which spread terrorism. … she certainly should not become president of the United States.”
Since then, the international neoliberal establishment has been after Assange, hoping to put him on trial in the US.
