In the fifth edition of the Russian Newspapers Monitor, Professor Filip Kovacevic discusses the front page articles from six Russian newspapers: Rossiyskaya Gazeta, Izvestia, Nezavisimaya Gazeta, Pravda, Argumenty and Fakty, and Komsomolskaya Pravda. He focuses on the Russian 'white paper' documenting the U.S. war crimes in Syria, the fate of the Islamic State fighters after defeats in Syria and Iraq, the social protests in Brussels against the CETA free trade agreement, the new seal of the Ukrainian military intelligence agency, and Putin's speech at the Valdai International Discussion Club in Sochi.
