TweetNewly elected Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi , in a speech Sunday at the Presidential Palace in Cairo, promised to fight the terrorism that has caused Egyptians so much heartache during the past 3 years.
The people of Egypt have spoken in overwhelming support of the new President as he was elected by 96% of the voting public. "It is time for the people of Egypt to reap the rewards of two revolutions" he stated. He went on to say That there would be no reconciliation with anyone who had "blood on their hands". He said: "Defeating terrorism and achieving security is the top priority in our coming phase" AND "There will be no acquiescence or laxity shown to those who resorted to violence."
Among the top Gulf officials attending the celebrations were Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmed al-Jaber al-Sabah, Saudi Arabian Crown Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz al-Saud and Abu Dhabi’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Zayed bin Sultan al-Nahyan. Also the presence of the Pope of the Coptic Christian church shows the secular and moderate beliefs of al Sisi. In the same vein, the lack of invitation to nations that support terrorism like Qatar and Turkey reinforced al Sisi's promise to fight terrorism.
And according to Emad el-Din Hussein, the Editor-in-Chief of Egypt’s al-Shorouk newspaper, the heavy presence of leaders from the Middle East is a great show of Arab support for Sisi, “The inauguration is a display of Sisi’s strengths, with strong public backing of the new leader, as well as strong foreign diplomatic backing". “Sisi now enjoys popular legitimacy, legal legitimacy and regional and international legitimacy as president,” Hussein added.
Millions of Egyptians filled the streets, draped with flags of Egypt and photos of Sisi, one man said “We’re here to cheer for the man who has given us fresh hope after a terrible past year". By a huge majority Egyptians are moderate Muslims. The radical Islamists make up a very small part of their population and have been trying to take over Egypt and turn it into a Shria state for years. Their takeover happened with Morsi of Muslim Brotherhood because he was backed by the US and the Clinton machine. Mohamed Morsi and his family are 30 year friends of Bill and Hillary Clinton. The election of Morsi is greatly questioned by many as to its legitimacy and after taking office Morsi tore up the Egyptian constitution and declared himself dictator for life. So, the Egyptian people took it into their own hands to take back their country. The then General al Sisi was asked by the 33 million Egyptians that took to the streets to remove Morsi and his reply was "These are my brothers and sisters in Egypt, I work for them" and so he walked Morsi out of office.
With the installation of their new President and his declaration to end terrorism and to bring Egypt back to some form of prosperity for all people he is truly fulfilling the wish of millions of Egyptians. He has gone against the one-world-order Zionists and he has won for his country and his people.
Congratulations to President al Sisi and to all the Egyptian people. God bless you all, you are a shining example of good people taking back their country from the hands of evil.
