The other attack was the product of Russian intelligence efforts. Now, both governments are enjoying an "extra special relationship" with the Trump Crime Family and its loyal supporters and accomplices in the Republican Party. You might even say ownership rather than relationship.Retaliation for 9/11 but an embrace for 11/9. The Russians were more sophisticated. They knew they could buy inaction with money-laundered "campaign contributions" via the NRA. "Moral" of the story? The next time an adversary attacks America, all they have to do to avoid retaliation is OK some hotel construction and send a few checks. Meanwhile, Americans snore.
