‘Dark Day for Internet Freedom’: EU Lawmakers Approve Controversial Copyright Reform (Article 13)

The EU passed Article 13 that requires anyone sharing copyrighted content to obtain permission. To protect their platforms from legal trouble, sites such as Facebook and Wikipedia will now be forced to implement “upload filters”.
