The Conspiracy Theories of Missing Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370

Missing Malaysian Airliner has all the Makings of a Conspiracy… including a Movie Plot.

The investigation into the whereabouts of missing Malaysian Airlines flight MH370 continues to mystify even the best and brightest aviation experts. And though mainstream media now claims the Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370′s Black Box is pinging the missing airliner’s location, the plane still has not been found! Or at least, so official sources claim.
As the public’s imagination has turned the missing Malaysia Airliner into morbid memes that the flight has accidentally landed on Gilligan’s Island, or when the public imagines that Tattoo from Fantasy Island, who was famous for announcing the arrival of “The plane! The plane!” would probably do a better job of locating the missing jet than the government, you know that the public’s perception of government competence is seriously in the gutter.

According to The Independent, hackers are already taking advantage of the mysterious events, now profiting from viral Facebook links claiming ’Missing Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 plane found in Bermuda Triangle‘, where posted videos are links to fake sites or spreading malware that hackers make money from.

No doubt, the missing airliner has all the makings of a conspiracy. It’s already being called the Malaysia Airlines Conspiracy, Flight MH370 Conspiracy, even the New Bermuda Triangle Conspiracy. Indeed, theories ranging from aliens abducted the plane to the US military shot it down, have spawned numerous articles about these conspiracy theories, including “A guide to MH370 conspiracy theories: 10 most curious versions” to already be going viral on the Internet.
Of course, with a name like Conspiracy Watch, we are expected to put our two cents in, or we wouldn’t be doing a good job watching, now wood we? So here’s my spin on the conspiracy and conspiracy theories surrounding the missing Malaysia Airlines Conspiracy, Flight MH370:
First, let me begin with, I believe “they” know and have known the fate of Flight MH370 from the beginning. However, just as with 9/11, the killing of Osama bin Laden, or the JFK assassination, we will probably never learn the truth. We may be told certain things along the way, and we may discover bits and pieces somewhere down the line, but we will never find out for sure what really happened to that plane or its passengers.
Personally, I believe the plane was shot down by either US planes or Chinese anti-aircraft missiles. But this article isn’t about what I believe. Lets investigate some of the plausible as well as the wacky conspiracy theories that have been pieced together. Below are the most popular conspiracy versions regarding the fate of the Flight MH370 which mysteriously vanished from radars on March 8, 2014:

1. Malaysian aircraft was shot down

Personally, this is my favorite, though I am not decided any more than are tthe many opinions regarding this theory: some insist that MH370 was attacked (by mistake?) for whatever reason by U.S. military planes, while others suspect Pyongyang of such a crime. This theory is supported by the probability, that an explosion would explain why no wreckage was found.

2. MH370 kept hidden at a US military base

According to this theory the plane was not shot down, but was captured. The main target was supposedly a group of 20 Freescale Semiconductor employees travelling to China. The Texas-based technology firm Freescale produces electronic components for hi-tech weaponry systems and aircraft navigation.
These employees were engineers or specialists involved in projects to streamline and cut costs at key manufacturing facilities in China and Malaysia and would give plenty of motive. Conspiracy theorists believed the passengers of flight MH370 were being held at Diego Garcia, a strategically important and secret US base on a remote island in the middle of the Indian Ocean near the Maldives.

3. Terrorists hijacked the airliner

According to some sources, Malaysian authorities were seeking diplomatic permission to investigate a theory that the plane was flown to North West Pakistan on the Afghan border, to one of a number of Taliban strongholds.
In fact, retired General Thomas McInerney made a statement on Fox News which claimed the missing plane was in Pakistan, and which he stood by for several days after saying it.

4. Same radical groups behind 9/11 are behind the MH370 disappearance

According to Dr. Kevin Barret, the plane could have been remotely hijacked using a special system called the Flight Termination, developed by Dov Zakheim’s company, by the same group of radicals that were behind 9/11. He pointed at some peculiar similarities between some aspects of 9/11 and the missing airliner.
For example, in both cases planes had suddenly swayed off course, lost the transponders and then disappeared from radar.
The Flight Termination System developed by a company run by the radical Zionist Dov Zakheim, supposedly has ties with the Pentagon, allowing a conspirator to take over planes from the ground or from another plane, concluded Dr.Barret.

5. MH370 in Australia

A Reddit internet community member, nicknamed KBE95, posted a picture of a safety instruction from aboard of vanished Malaysian plan, pointing out the safety instruction was spotted in a recycling plant, which gets its stock from Australia.
Note, the last signals from MH370 were registered in the area somewhere west of Australia.

6. Malaysian MH370 flight linked to Snowden

Benjamin Radford, the American writer of a number of unexplained mysteries books, claims the event could have links to Edward Snowden.
The theory behind the Snowden connection was that there were a bunch of specialists working for the global Internet processing solutions which deal with embedded smartphone technology and defense contracting.
Radford believs there could be an attempt to assassinate people with information regarding Snowden’s projects. However, would they really hijack an entire flight with hundreds of people on board to do that?

7. The flight’s disappearance was mystically predetermined

Another Reddit user pointed to the mysterious numerological coincidence: “Flight 370 disappears on 3/7 while reportedly traveling 3,700 km.
Flight 370 flew at an altitude of 37,000 feet when it last reported using flight tracking software.
Luigi Maraldi, age 37, was one of the individuals whose passport was stolen. Malaysia Airlines is one of Asia’s largest, flying nearly 37,000 passengers daily.
As of today, we are beginning the 37th month since the Fukushima tragedy, which is located on the 37th degree and initially caused 37 injuries at the plant.”
Wow, this one’s way off base!

8. The New Bermuda Triangle

The Bermuda Triangle, aka the Devil’s Triangle, is a triangular region in the western part of the North Atlantic Ocean is a place where weird things happened, including the disappearance of numerous shipping vessels and planes.
The idea of a “New Bermuda Triangle” in Asian region crossed the minds of many discussing the fate of vanished Malaysian jet.

9. Illuminati destroyed the plane

Of course, on the Internet, users are claiming that the jetliner was destroyed by powerful Illuminati occultists.
The IlluminatiWatcher blog wrote, “one guess points to the supposed vortex energy points on the earth’s surface that Illuminati “and/or ancient aliens” who can control the energy grid,” according to TIME.

10. MH370 was abducted by aliens

Last but not least, the theory that the infamous aircraft was abducted by aliens has to be considered. I mean, what self respectable conspiracy theorist is going to just dismiss the possibility of aliens snatching the plane?
There are some bloggers who even assume that the future generations might discover the remains of the missing Malaysian plane on Mars someday, for example. I don’t know if they really believe their own BS, but what the hell, leave no stone unturned!
However, no matter the fate of the vanished Malaysian Airlines Flight MH 370, the above theories have surly already become book plots with a movie deals.
The truth is out there… but we’ll never know.
