Will The Republicans Who Voted For TrumpCare Before Ryan Raised The White Flag, Be Held Accountable? Not If It's Up To The DCCC

Hey, who does the candidate recruiting around here?As everyone knows by now, Paul Ryan and Kevin McCarthy pulled their TrumpCare proposal off the floor of the House for the second-- and final-- time yesterday. Good riddance to a bill that basically no one liked except Ryan himself and some fellow Ayn Rand devotees.

The Blame Game

As Trumpcare started tanking on national TV Friday morning, Pence allies were desperately trying to float their bullshit boat that the vice president advised Trump to keep his distance from the bill and just label it a Ryan proposal. Pence, in fact, worked closely with Ryan and Price-- Price, who he pushed on Trump to name HHS Secretary-- in crafting the proposal to meet their ideological agenda, not Trump's amorphous ego-driven political agenda.

Trump’s ultimatum to congress: ‘I’ll walk’ if no vote on healthcare Friday

The showdown between President Trump and the rebels in the GOP who are holding up a vote on replacing Obamacare has come to a head.
A vote in the House of Representatives on replacing the nation’s healthcare scheme was originally scheduled for earlier this week, but was delayed due to objections from the “freedom caucus” – conservative congressmen unhappy with Trumpcare’s tax incentives to purchase health insurance, among other provisions.
They also object to penalties which the new bill allows insurers to assess if customers elect to drop coverage.

Will Ryan Postpone The TrumpCare Vote Again Today?

Would it change your negative feelings towards Trump voters-- not the racists, the others-- if you understood the "sea of despair" their lives have become? That's how the Washington Post described their state of mind yesterday, based largely on a new report from the Brookings Institution, Mortality and Morbidity in the 21st Century.

I Bet The Senate Never Votes On TrumpCare-- At Least Not This Version The House Takes Up On Thursday

Ted Cruz thought he was going to be president last year-- he really did. And except that he got rolled by a Times Square clown with a jacket filled with fake Rolexes, he nearly won his party's nomination. I guess he came in second. Now he really doesn't want to be the first Texas Republican to lose a reelection bid to a Democrat since James Flanagan may have been beaten by Samuel Maxey, formerly a Confederate Brigadier General, in 1875. So...

Forget About Trump's Mental Illness, He's Causing The Whole Country To Have A Breakdown

Do anxiety levels seem higher among the people you interact with since Trump managed to win the White House? I don' feel more anxious or tense at all, but nearly all of my friends appear to be, particularly my women friends, but men as well. Some literally seem on the verge of nervous breakdowns. And the whole nation-- or at least the part of it that I'm in touch with-- seems obsessed with Trump.

GOP’s New Health Care Plan Will Harm America’s Most Vulnerable

The GOP’s American Health Care Act, a bill that has been advertised as a replacement for the Affordable Care Act, has finally been published — and by the looks of it, their so-called health care overhaul will leave countless Americans, especially those with low incomes, at great risk. If put in place, the Republican healthcare plan “would result in 14 million fewer people being covered by Medicaid” by 2018.

Trump And Ryan Set Out To Make War On The Poor-- Take Wisconsin, For Example

This morning Carol Shea-Porter hosted a roundtable discussion at the Strafford Nutrition Program in Somersworth to highlight what her office called "the devastating harm President Trump’s budget blueprint proposal would cause to New Hampshire communities that rely on programs like Meals on Wheels." Despite Mick Mulvaney's lies on Meet the Press yesterday-- namely that the feds' cut to Meals on Wheels only amounts to 3% of their budget-- the truth is that 35% of Meals On Wheels funding comes from the federal government and the proposed cuts in the Trump budget would be catastrophic.
